This was a terrifying read - McCarthy-like tactics creeping into Canadian politics. There should be no tolerance for this type of behaviour, especially in our science community.

#SiteC and BC Government gaslighting. Started under Christy Clark's Liberals but happily continued under the BCNDP.

Sadly, my MP has contributed to the blatant racism by jumping on the racist bandwagon, criticizing temporary foreign workers at Time Hortons.

Yes!! Instead of taxpayers constantly having to subsidize this dirty industry & not the $2.25/million liters they currently get billed for. Dawson Creek residents & farms should not go thirsty because of #LNG

BC has a big problem with Temporary Foreign Workers. The number of BC employers breaking migrant worker laws surpasses all other Canadian jurisdictions. Since 2022, 77% of inspections were “paper-based” and involved no site visit at all.

The Cowichan Tribes debate is quickly becoming an international culture war issue, which means any attempt by someone to try and clarify facts, timelines or arguments by the people materially involved in the actual discussion will not matter in slightest.

But literally none of this is correct.

Despite covering just 0.2% of the sea floor, seagrasses account for an estimated 10% of all the carbon stored by the world’s oceans. They are also able to capture carbon from the atmosphere up to 35 times faster than tropical rainforests such as the Amazon.
