Just had a chat with my manager from my previous consulting gig. Because of new admin + tariffs + and partially AI, their clients are not starting any new projects, which means, in his words "we are doing our biggest layoffs of all time & my job is on the line". I feel bad for everyone letting go.

Yet another day I regret using LangChain. If you ever write an AI app, just stay out of it!

Seriously thinking of switching to VSCode after being a loyal user of JetBrains+Webstorm for a decade. TypeScript is just too damn slow! If vim binding in VSCode was any decent, I'd probably have switched by now. How come WS so slow to show TS errors/hints compared to VSCode?

Oh, the irony! Not going to lie, it has been 16 years in the US and for the first time I am a bit concerned about this situation for myself and my family. Something about this time it makes me feel not so good.

Webstorm currently seems to be beyond broken so stay away from it for the time being. I've added some contents and they show up in the editor but if you open the same file in other editors, the content isn't there. So you'd think the file is saved but it isn't

⚡️We have release 1.5.0 with new faster rendering engine, thinking reasoning tags, better RTD responses, better app performance, and a few more.

Would love to see @msty.app mentioned in the survey. Regardless, please take a few minutes to fill up this survey if you are using Gen AI

on a daily basis I typically use @github.com copilot, and @msty.app for questions (mostly not about code).

I wouldn't use AI tools to bootstrap a new project - I enjoy doing it by hand too much.

if anyone (non-AI) offered to 'do' a first draft for me, I'd probably say no too ...

I started out using @lmstudio-ai.bsky.social for running local models, but I recently switched to @msty.app. No issues. Document attachments and knowledge stacks improve the results. #AI #GenAI

Even better with Roo-Cline but Msty and tools like it (LM Studio etc.) are game changes in barrier to entry ✨️

Started testing out msty to test out LLM models and streamlit to stop me from pulling out my teeth with front end programming boredom. Respect to the engineers who have the patience for it and do a good job. If you’re in the product space and testing out llms Msty.app is worth a look 👀

For some reasons, when a user comes in and says “I will buy a license to your app if you add this one feature”, I actually feel less motivated to add that feature. If you are already finding some values out of an app, just buy a license and then make demands. If not, just don’t. It’s a free app!

What the heck?! I didn’t believe this at first but flipping a phone upside down and trying to tap does feel off which means this is actually true. 🤯

Just got a big performance boost by replacing Vue's `watchEffect` with `watch` and told the team that moving on it's an anti-pattern for us. It's one of the very few things I don't like at all and find really no use for it. It not only introduces naive subtle bugs but makes code very unreadable too

I have been experimenting with a small self executable project using Bun.sh plus ElysiaJS and the experience so far has been beyond amazing. For what I need, I couldn’t have built it without Bun.This is the future. Excellent work @jarredsumner.com

Was trying to come with a repro for possibly a version update bug that I ran into. Only to spend at least an hour to find out that all I had to do was delete node_modules.
