My advice, as a former call center supervisor, is to fish for ways to escalate your call to a supervisor. Upper management HATES when the supe call cue is long. We used to be in perpetual callback hell back where I worked and they constantly devoted extra resources to combating it.
Spoke to my source familiar with internal workings at Mastercard. The holiday call campaign re payment processor censorship is working, there is a lot of pressure being felt from your calls. This is resulting in increased response times at a core moment for Mastercard due to the holiday season

Here's a secret for y'all. DM the artist with your budget and politely ask if there is a commission type they will do within that budget.
Obviously it will depend on the artist, and how busy their comms are; but if they have the availability they will likely work with you!

There's people I follow I'd love to commission sometime, but I feel awkward asking about if they do them a lot of the time (oftentimes I don't know and don't wanna bother someone about it). If they are and their prices are above my budget, I feel even more awkward having to back down. >_<
