I am extremely concerned about the displacement of families from the Palisades and Altadena, especially families within the historically Black neighborhoods of Altadena. AB 851 is an important part of LA County’s work to rebuild from this disaster and I encourage Gov. Newsom to sign AB 851 into law.

While I am disappointed that #AB470 was held in the Senate Appropriations Committee, this issue is not going away. California’s telecommunications infrastructure is failing and we must find ways to incentivize private investments to keep homes, schools and businesses connected across the state.
