okay when i get home im gonna get that hair tool thing for blender and make a real aster hair. bc his canon hair texture is like right in between curly and wavy and that shit does not exist in ffxiv or any ffxiv mods 😭

actually, it would be a cute idea to turn his og design into a brother or something. current lore is that he travelled to sharlayan alone but maybe he could have a brother who came with him
it was a'rinh, who has gone through many iterations since then. i didn't have a whole lot of info on him at the start except that he was from meracydia and i used to ship him with estinien. it was when i came up with the "reluctant wol" concept that eventually turned into aster

fun fact: tobias has a similar affliction to aster, where the influence of light makes him hunger for aether. though with tobias it's far more of a physical craving and not tied up in mental issues. he just hungry.
and it's 10x worse around david and jez because they're from the source :)
