What would probably help build interest in Cake Maker is if I showed you all the main menu! This is how it looks in dev build .8.43. It might get a little bit of change for release but here's a peak into Tom's bakery! #gamedev #indiedev #indiegamdev

Spoiler for those who want it to be a surprise.
Charlotte stands to the left of the main menu text and Tom stands to the right of it. Charlotte slouches and shares a small smile while Tom beams cheerily waving his baking mitt covered left hand. Tom is clearly standing on some kind of platform to be in frame. Behind them is the front counter of Tom's bakery; a glass and wood counter with treats in it, a register, a taller side counter with an old metal pitcher holding sunflowers. Behind the counter is a shelf with jars, various framed signs, a black and white photo of Tom and his wife, the chalkboard menu and a drawing Tom's son made of their family. The wall paper is green with vertical stripes.

In the Super Mario Galaxy games, the staff credits text is always loaded into RAM despite not being needed until the ending. While horribly inefficient, this is inadvertently heartwarming as the games appear to honor their creators by keeping them in memory at all times.

Due to the unique way Super Mario Bros. stores its maps, its level designers were at the mercy of the decorative hills and bushes when placing bottomless pits. While the pits can be placed freely, the decorations are non-negotiable and dictate the level design.
