Gas disks around young stars are actually not very flat, but dust particles are not pressure-supported (as opposed to the gas) and larger dust aggregates settle to much thinner disks and eventually form flat planetary systems :-)

- educate yourself on unconscious biases,

- provide a safe work environment with no everyday sexism,
