Well that's just another definition then. Because whenever I see people talk about unconditional love it's all about "accept whatever the other person does and still love them". I like your definition more, however I don't see "unconditional" a fitting word because it literally means no conditions.

I don't get the obsession with unconditional love. This whole concept sounds like one sided apologia for abuse. Not accepting responsibility for problems and bad behaviour because "love above all". This phrase is gendered too, only women are expected to love unconditionally (children, partner).
