Cuts to #science of >50% at NASA and >75% at NOAA would end US climate and space science research.

😲 So sorry to hear this, absolutely devastating
This is a lovely tribute to the DC-8 “flying lab”, retired last year. It’s been an integral part of my career, from the very start of my PhD right through to our most recent paper in review. Although the plane has retired, its legacy lives on through the data! ✈️

Not sure it's well recognised within Aus just how weirdly emissions intensive its vehicle fleet is

@agu.org do you have an email address to contact for help with an AGU account? The website won’t allow me to update my account to my new email address following my change of affiliation. Thanks!
I’ll still have a bit of research time in there. Undergrad education has always been a passion (going all the way back to those student-faculty conferences in my Caltech days), so pretty excited to make that a focus area for the time being!
Absolutely! I’ll still get a little bit of research time (and we should stay in touch even if we aren’t doing science together!)

Although first responders were successful in keeping the fire from JPL, over 150 JPLers have lost their homes. Here’s link to the Caltech/JPL disaster relief fund if you’re so inclined: caltech.imodules.com/controls/ema...

Thanks for your support of our JPL family.

Thanks would be great to get added to this!
Ignore the timestamps on all but my pinned post; looks like these came across from Twitter without timestamps but they’re all more than a year old, some going back a decade!
After almost a year of hiatus, I guess I'm here now.

Great morning yesterday co-leading the @UOW @Healthy_Cities Ride2UOW from the northern suburbs. Great to see so many riders out, despite a windy morning, ending with a nice brekkie and an interview for @UOWTV !
This was a massive effort, spanning nearly 3 years with co-authors from 4 continents.

You’ll never believe it, but the SH and the NH are different!
How so, you might ask? This is exactly what our papers address.

As a community, we have more data in the NH and tend to treat NH findings as globally representative. This work highlights where that may be a problem.
Great to see @UOW now flying the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags! #AlwaysWasAlwaysWillBe
Thanks @uowresearch for supporting #OpenAccess! Thanks to funding from a UOW OAHI grant, this publication that I first shared back in May is now free to read for all.
