Accounting nerd obsessed with music, Fisher Price Little People Collectibles, urban and not so urban fantasy novels, baking cheesecakes, Wisconsin Badgers, two spaces after periods, and dogs...all the dogs.
Dammit Bucky. You broke my heart. On the positive side, we've made outstanding progress on the Home Alone house...no more foosball today. More drinks, Legos, and punk rock music are on the horizon.....and...Fire Fickel and Tressel can also piss strsight off.

Good grief this is a frustrating game. My hopes were heightened last week and now I'm in a well of despair...relatively speaking...I don't have access to a despair well.
November 29, 2025 at 11:12 PM
Alright...the basement is finally done. Go. Damn. Badger.

Getting all kinds of Norwegian up in here.

Hosting our family on Thanksgiving was awesome but tiring. Today though, we slept in, the dogs are not being assholes, and we're having some friends over later for Old Fashions and to build the Home Alone house from Legos. Also, it's Axe day. Go. Damn. Badger.

24 people, 3 dogs, lots of pie, and Thursday football. Mildly controlled chaos in our house today. I better hide the good whiskey.

Boy, I hate handling uncooked birds. To the brine with you, fowl beast.

Pro tip for those doing holiday baking. If your pie crust doesn't come together and it pisses you off, give up and throw it over the fence in the backyard. Then go buy a pie at Kwik Trip because it will probably taste better anyway.

Pie crusts are my nemesis. Roasted butternut squash for our pumpkin pie. It's a Stella Parks recipe and it's outstanding.

I mean, by all means, have fun kids, but rushing the field again? It's all moot now anyway...it's axe week!
November 23, 2025 at 3:52 AM
Nice effort, Bert. Well done, Bucky. That was the most fun I've had watching the Badgers all season.
November 23, 2025 at 3:44 AM
Oh my...Bucky is making me feel stuff. What a run.
November 23, 2025 at 2:32 AM
Efficient. That was an efficient drive. Hopes rising.
November 23, 2025 at 1:04 AM
Well, here we go again. Go. Damn. Badger. Let's ruin Bret's evening.
November 23, 2025 at 12:35 AM
Coordinators drinking Kwik Trip coffee in the booth...in case you didn't know the game was in Green Bay 🤣
November 11, 2025 at 2:09 AM
So shines a light in a weary world. Well done Bucky. Outstanding defense tonight.

This is pretty awesome. If you can support a Taco Johns today, please go buy some stuff so they can keep doing what they do! Also potato oles are the world's most perfect food.
It’s okay to be glad that restaurants are doing stuff like this AND absolutely furious about the utter failure of the United States government.

Community foundation gala tonight and I was asked for a cheesecake for the dessert auction. This year's edition is Hazelnut Espresso cheesecake with fresh raspberries and homemade raspberry glaze. A bit of espresso whipped cream to round it out. 5 pounds of coffee infused perfection.

The mass of humanity marching today has filled my heart with joy and hope. Queue the Badgers to hurl me back into a pit of despair and darkness.

I'm not even a huge baseball fan, but man would a Brewers-Blue Jays World Series would be fun.
October 8, 2025 at 12:26 AM
I appreciate Ice Cube's pregame hype about championship football. I'm thinking maybe he hasn't seem Bucky play this year. Nonetheless, Go. Damn. Badger.

Quite a quandary. I specifically was saving all of my mirror shards for my new @theonion.com tote bag and yet they specifically advise against it. I guess they stay in the silverware drawer next to the fancy shrimp forks.
September 22, 2025 at 5:44 PM
Oh my goodness the Badgers are terrible. I'm quite over this Luke Fickel experiment.
September 20, 2025 at 5:44 PM
It's important to do things you enjoy. This morning I baked toffee scones and I made 8 when the recipe said 12 because giant scones are fun and, I'm a loner, Dottie, a rebel.

Sometimes all it takes is a small sign that the universe really wants us to be happy. Today that sign was my pizza dough passing the window pane test exactly as it should. Up next on incredibly boring Friday old nerd talk, gluten development.
