Do y’all ever feel like the ludicrous nature of all this is driving you insane?
We are supposed to take seriously an “investigation” by the Dep’t of “War” into a decorated veteran, astronaut (!), and respected Senator for exercising his free speech rights.
The Pentagon has launched a review of "serious allegations of misconduct" against Senator Mark Kelly after he told service members to refuse unlawful orders.

Pretty nervous. I took on the task of cooking steaks for my father’s 80th birthday.
Fifteen Filets. Not cheap. And everyone counting on me. Will know the truth real soon! 😬

The Gators have scored a touchdown!

Long night, long season, but the boys are still competing. 🐊

I became a Gator in 1992 and although I learned my history I didn’t truly understand the old timers’ pain. We were the mighty Gators and I thought we would always be.
Well, now I get it. 😩
It will make it that much sweeter when we make it back. In all kinds of weather, Go Gators. 🐊

Tonight at 7 pm from Gainesville.

Hoping we only hear Rocky Top once or twice. Catchy tune but lord it’s been a long day when you hear it over and over and over. Go Gators!

Valdosta hammered a pretty good Brookwood team and will host a state quarterfinal next Friday. There will be football practice on Thanksgiving, an old Valdosta tradition.

Unfortunately for Lowndes the season ends against an excellent North Gwinnett squad.
Second round Georgia High School football playoffs are tonight. Our Valdosta Wildcats are hosting while our Lowndes Vikings have to make a 510 mile r/t to metro Atlanta. (Travel distances in football playoffs here are absurd). 🏈🏈

There have been many, many wild 24 hour news cycles in the Trump era but this one that began with Trump threatening to execute members of Congress and ended with him having a love fest with Mandami and MTG resigning is certainly up there. Solid Top 20 effort by the writers.

Her statement.
BREAKING: Marjorie Taylor Greene announces she is resigning from Congress. Her last day in office will be January 5, 2026.

Wow!
Marjorie Taylor Greene announces she is resigning from Congress

Wasn’t expecting Trump to have a man crush on Mandami but here we are. Oval Office press conference was really remarkable.

But perhaps not too surprising if one really knows and understands Trump’s psychology. Mandami won & won big. That impresses Trump. He has good looks & charisma. That also

In the very early days of Nazi rule local law enforcement would sometimes intervene if a local was being threatened by Nazis acting unlawfully. There was still an idea that the law mattered. That didn’t last long.

Not saying things will get that bad here but we seem to be in a similar stage.
First of all, this judge is a hero.

Secondly, my god this is egregious conduct. Imagine being this judge, driving this poor kid home, only to have ICE threaten to smash your car windows on your way out of the lot??

I posted the other week about my son’s hunting success. Today we picked up a cooler full of meat from the processor. We’ve got a cooler full of burger, cube steak, backstrap, sausage from a deer taken on our own land. Doesn’t get much better than that.

I think one of our most difficult issues today is learning how to rebuild community in a digital age. On social media we see a lot of hatred and not much treating each other like neighbors. I exempt no “side”. Have seen it from the right, the left, and points in between.
Rampant misinformation

Before the midterms of 1866, President Andrew Johnson called his congressional opponents traitors and said they should be hanged.

Voters were so profoundly moved by his words... that they gave his opponents a supermajority in Congress, and the nation got the Fourteenth Amendment.

Endorsed.
Let’s talk about sedition and treason, because the most powerful yet inadequate man in the world is having a tantrum about it, and his soulless, spineless sycophants are boosting his message.

It should be easy for educated, rational citizens to hold these two thoughts in mind: drug traffickers are the bad guys but due process of law protects us all.

Being against blowing up alleged drug traffickers at sea on the president's word does NOT make one a supporter of drug traffickers.

He has had so many Cap't Queeg and the strawberries moments that I have long since lost count.

This is all stunning, not only should the case be dismissed but I believe there are lawyers involved who should be subject to Bar discipline.
NEWS: During a hearing in federal court in VA, prosecutors confirmed that the operative indictment in the case against James Comey was never shown to or voted on by the entire grand jury before it was presented in open court.

Defense counsel argued that’s a complete bar to further prosecution
