Hate to be that guy, and like, the more people learn about King Philip’s War the better, but PBS Origins just blatantly ripped me off.

The title, several of the turns of phrase in the video… their researchers clearly just watched some of my videos and just repeated stuff that I’ve said.

The Makah whaling controversy drags on.

Last summer NOAA granted the tribe an exemption from anti-whaling laws. At the time it was regarded as the final word on the matter. But now concerns about gray whales’ declining populations have stymied the hunts once again. www.kuow.org/stories/maka...

Despite the Makah Tribe’s success in getting a waiver to carry out their exclusive treaty right for whaling, the permitting process that had dragged on for over 20 years has now been effectively delay...

The Native Americans fighting Pennywise flashback in It: Welcome to Derry depicts 17th century colonialism in Maine with Oregon Trail era covered wagons. How the fuck do you not include spooky Puritan shit in your Stephen King homage? Lazy-ass writing and production design

I’m cautiously optimistic, but will only be truly excited if Stephen Sommers returns to direct.
Brendan Fraser says 'The Mummy 4' is the sequel he's always wanted to make

Mary Shelley's Frankenstein is not about "playing God" – it's a timeless parable about human responsibility grappling with environmentalism, feminism, liberation politics, sexuality, birth, death, and family. Let's rediscover the true radicalism of this masterpiece of horror.

1. It's fascinating to see, as you can from the responses to the post below, how many daft things people believe, to justify their continued meat eating. So let's examine a few of the common myths in the following thread. 🧵
For years, there's been a massive over-emphasis on food miles, and a massive under-emphasis on food type.
By far and away the best dietary decision you can make, for environmental, humanitarian and public health purposes, is to cut out animal products.
Remember this, whenever someone says "alternative proteins - yuck!"

Every YT creator I know is saying the same thing. The algorithm is fritzing out. Views and revenue are down (sometimes way down), and nobody seems to know why.

Some blame this new "restricted mode," others say it's part of Big Tech's rightward shift. Here's my two cents. (1/9)

Remember when a boomer pulled a gun on me while protesting Omni Hotels’ use of foie gras?

Well earlier today, Omni finally… quacked… under pressure and promised to enact a foie gras-free policy.

Remember, kids: pressure campaigns get the goods.
On Christmas Eve I got a gun pulled on me while I was peacefully protesting Omni Hotels' decision to keep selling foie gras (aka diseased liver made from force-feeding ducks).

How's your holiday season going? 🤣🤣🤣
