1953 - Auburn broke a 6-game losing streak in Ladd Stadium in Mobile, defeating Tulane 34-7.

Auburn racked up 319 total yards. Tulane was held to 15 yards overall.

1987 - Homecoming is more special as students from St. Joseph's University came to experience Auburn.

With no football program, St. Joseph's students voted to adopt one. AU beat Miss. St. 38-7 & SJU's hawk enjoyed time with Aubie.

1869 - Famed John Heisman is born.

Heisman was truly a Renaissance Man. He coached football, baseball, and basketball. Heisman was also a sportswriter and an actor.

Auburn's 1897 team finished $700 in debt. Heisman raised funds with a drama show.

1926 - The score was 0-0 at halftime, but a Tulane punt was blocked and rolled through the back of the end zone.

Auburn would win 2-0.

2004 - #3 Auburn gets to 6-0 on the season in a 42-10 rout of Kentucky.

Cadillac Williams would rush for 149 yards and two touchdowns. The Auburn defense allowed only 110 Kentucky yards overall.

1964 - Cliff Hare Stadium hosts its first concert as The Lettermen perform.

1932 - Auburn's first All-American, Jimmy Hitchcock, "The Phantom of Union Springs," intercepts a Tulane pass and scores the Tigers' first touchdown in a 19-7 victory.

This would be Auburn's first victory over Tulane in 5 years.

2015 - Butch Thompson is hired as Auburn Baseball head coach.

2016 - Eli Stove took an end-around on the first play to the house. #21 Auburn would rack up 632 yards to #17 Arkansas' 215 in the 56-3 demolishing.

Stanton Truit would add 3 TDs and Kam Pettway would rush for 192 and 2 TDs of his own.

1971 - Ike and Tina Turner perform in Auburn's Memorial Coliseum, with the hit song "Respect" on the set list.

1988 - #10 Auburn defeats Mississippi State 33-0. This would mark the first time since 1974 that Auburn would shutout back-to-back opponents.

Auburn would actually shut out three straight with the Florida game the following week.

2006 - An old rivalry is rekindled, as Auburn and Tulane for the first time since 1955.

#8 Auburn dominates, defeating Tulane 38-13. Ben Tate ran for 156 yards as a freshman, and Brandon Cox passed for 212 and 3 touchdowns.

1974 - #5 Auburn got out to a quick 17-0 lead over Georgia Tech thanks to a blocked field goal and later a blocked punt returned for a touchdown.

Auburn would have to hold on, though, to defeat a pesky Georgia Tech team 31-22.

1973 - Elton John performs in front of 8,500 Auburn students at Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum.

Ticket sales broke Auburn records and the stage was even moved in order to sell more tickets.

1975 - Down 17 points, Auburn defensive end Jeff McCollum caused two Georgia Tech turnovers inside the 25 yard line.
