Honestly, people need to learn to separate the artist from the work, both for the good and the bad.
Just because you're the creator doesn't mean you don't enjoy things outside of the work, or make jokes about your characters, or enjoy crack-ships or crazy theories XD

as a neurodivergent & also weird kid school was hell for me, though these days I struggle to remember the names of all the teachers who bullied me. But the three that treated me like a person have never left me. Now more than ever, I hope you all try your best to stay unsquishable!

After my dad died I’d skip class, grades dropped, detentions stacked, etc. I still drew but I didn’t care about anything. The principal called me into her office one day, figured I messed up again, but she just handed me a box of colored pencils and said “happy birthday”. NEVER forgot that.

Ironically I never used those pencils bc I didn’t wanna “waste” them lol. I think they’re still back at my mom’s place.

Good teachers/principals/school staff are worth their weight in gold and deserve nothing but the best.
