I was raised a Christian. When studying in London, I was a nanny at a Jewish family. I was married to a Muslim for many years (RIP). I have lived in 4 countries. Yes, I am an American citizen, but I am also a citizen of the world. People are scared of what they don't know. I fear their ignorance.

When alerted to the killing of American citizens, I heard: "We need to pray for them." That didn't do this pastor any good, did it. If praying helps YOU, GREAT! But that doesn't take away actions we need to take: such as protesting PEACEFULLY, calling our elected representatives, and VOTING!

Gov. Gavin Newsom has publicly opposed the proposed “billionaire tax.” Roughly 200 to 255 of California’s wealthiest residents would be directly affected by this tax. That initiative could raise roughly $100 billion for state programs, mostly for healthcare. So not the leader that we had hoped for.
