My name is Anthony Woodward, I’m an Australian comic artist who lives in Canada.
I love making non-fiction comics mostly ‘autofiction’ and more recently about UFOs.
I also like drawing robot junk heaps and a couple of years ago I made an all ages comic called Bored in Space.

While the updates to the #TobyComic are mostly just lettering. I have occasionally added some extra panels for better pacing. This recent addition has to be a favourite so far.

Found this comic panel from two years ago that I forgot I had drawn. First I was amazed at how well this captured the moment and the figures. I then looked at it too long and noticed all the faults 😂

Grok is also being used against Trans people on X. Anytime someone posts a selfie transphobes are using it to reverse their gender.
The end goal of Grok sexual harassment is to make women afraid to be visible. It’s a punishment for daring to exist in a way the perpetrators can’t control. There’s no one solution to this, because the problem isn’t just technological. It’s cultural. It’s misogyny. This is just one expression of it.

Finally got my studio back after some flood damage in the spring last year. Bonus, the floor is now level! Still needs some setting up to make it more cosy.

Acquired a digital copy of Steve Ditko’s spider-man run. Had this wild idea to make a ‘parody’ of them and redraw them in my style. Or better still I’d love to see someone like Dan Clowes do it.

I’m having a great time working on the edits for woodlands no.1 so I can reprint (with some new material too).
It’s simultaneously making me feel confident from the comic muscles I’m exercising and also vulnerable in looking so closely at my work.
