I cannot respond to my direct messages, so if you need to contact me you'll have to do it via an open post. I am not aware of anything (in my case) that needs to be communicated privately here.

Oh ha ha. Can't stop laughing.

It was a statement, is that ok, are people not allowed to make statements nowadays.

She was a lovely actor. I recently watched The Godfather with her starring, it reminded me of what a good actor she was.

That can't be legal, even in the USA. It certainly would not be legal in UK.

Fans and colleagues on Saturday remembered Diane Keaton, who died at 79, leaving a legacy as a vulnerable actress onscreen and a compassionate colleague while away from the camera.

Yes by itself it means very little.

Yes I don't think it means much about TB.

I think he can be unrealistic, but hopefully some of that will get tempered with experience. He's more effective than someone like Corbyn, because he seems to have a stronger energy about him.

I think it is really important that there is an alternative effective view point to all the oppressive unrealistic stuff the other parties are touting. He does provide that.

It's really depressing when you walk around Euston and St Pancras in the evening, rows of tents and sleeping bags. It's not good for them and not good for us, feeling impotent to help with much more than a cup of tea.

Clever joke on Threads: Dickens’s “A Tale of Two Cities” was originally published in instalments in two local English newspapers. It was the Bicester Times, it was the Worcester Times.

They are certainly on the same page, and probably the same paragraph and even the same sentence.

I feel angry watching it. I don't see why immigrants many of whom are very skilled and have been here for decades have to constantly justify themselves. What makes it worse, in the UK is that it is at the behest of a group of people who are primarily yobs.

FGS. Leicester has been like that ever since I can remember. People who run connected businesss and do things in common like to live near each other. It's more practical. I never felt unsafe if I went into an area like Milton Rd in Leicester. It's not the issue they are making it out to be.

This is a lie.

There are many criticisms you might sensibly and truthfully make of the Sentencing Council and the Sentencing Guidelines. I’ve been making them for years.

But this is an outright lie. Pure fabrication. A fraud on the public.
awheatley24.bsky.social
I would never have believed that anyway-goes against all the tenets of fairness when applied as a blanket guideline.

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson:

"Private establishments can partner with us to make it clear that private property is private property and ICE cannot enter establishments without a valid warrant ... If Congress will not check this administration, then Chicago will."

God almighty why are our MPs so ignorant. What's the point in them.

I thought that was ridiculous from the press, and as you say Starmer's words were long over due. There needs to be some very clear totems from figures of authority, to show people where acceptability ends. Otherwise we end up with this drift where people start thinking oh well maybe Farage is ok.
awheatley24.bsky.social
They need to keep up this straightforward talk about Farage it'll do a lot more good than emulating his policies.
