going 2 be serious for just a moment (this isn't the norm 4 me): i see so much people saying this lately and yeah. i think, even for awful people, we should not normalize people saying "k!ll yourself". it's never okay to make light about what some people see as the only escape from their mind.

for october i tried (and did not complete due to the infernal schoolwork) a daily writing challenge. here's a snippet from the first day. bear with me i've never posted writing like this before but y'know. cw for violence and death #writing #writers #fiction 📚
"As she turned, she felt the blade thrust through her back until it penetrated past her chest. Mina’s entire body stiffened, her eyes widening as her pupils shrank; she didn’t cry out, she simply turned her gaze. The blade was long and thin, with polished silver visible beneath her crimson blood; it was a sabre, perhaps. She watched as more blood dripped onto it, spilling out from between her lips. Her mind finally caught up to her body when a boot slammed hard into her back, and she sprawled out onto the floor." This text is set against a faint background of brown wilted flowers. "She gasped like she was drowning, her body seizing up as her nerves numbed. Clawing feebly at the slick, shiny ground, she tried to push herself up on her arms. A gloved hand interrupted her, and in her blood’s reflection she could see the glint of the blade that had just ended her life. The hand pressed into her own, prying apart her fingers, which only encouraged her to hold onto the watch within harder. “No…! No!” A swift kick to her arm put an end to her struggle; the warm metal left her hand, and Mina’s forehead pressed into the floor with sudden weakness. Her eyes were heavy with a want for permanent sleep, and even if she knew that wouldn’t be the case, that didn’t make her terror any less potent. “Stop,” she croaked out; it hadn’t be directed at her killer, but she heard their footsteps stop anyway. She managed to open her eyes, squinting to see them through the haze; it was a construct, more immaculate than any she had ever seen. Like an angel, built by the hands of man." "Jericho. Jericho stared back at her with vacant eyes, before he approached her and placed his boot on top of her head. The pressure was immediate, and intense, lasting only a second before her vision went black as the sole made contact with her brain. Mina Ward stood in the corridor, dust swirling in her lungs, staring in horror at the ceiling she had just collapsed. One of her hands was clutched over her heart, while the other was splayed across her face. It hadn’t happened. Not in this timeline. But her body would still bear the scars. And so would her mind."
