There was never a “safe” time to create art. It is not “safe” to be an artist now. All the more reason to paint/write/sketch/sculpt/play and find inspiration despite the horrors. They may persist, but so can you. Creativity is how we feed our souls.

Im really happy with how this is coming along! I have quite a bit of hand sewing ahead of me, but overall, it’s about 75% finished. I’m waiting on a few things so I can make the actual belt that I’ll be using, as well as the gloves and a few other bits but I’m hoping to get this finished this week.

Oh everyone who comes by my booth only see what I want to make 🤣 I do not make trendy stuff unless I like it. But I do wish artist alleys went back to mostly being that. I want to see your hyper focus and what you love.
its a bit sad walking into an artist alley filled with the hottest and latest trends and not being into any of them. like the joy of finding something new has lessened. i like seeing the mental illness™️, thats where all the passion is
its a bit of a relief to see other artists feel the same about how US artist alley has become more ""hustle culture"" with a focus on making marketable goods with ok enough art, and less ""check out this mental illness"" with 200 doujinshi pages of the best sucking and fucking you can ever imagine

Im working on a new display stand for conventions! Im so excited with how it is looking so far. We had a lot of leftover plywood from a previous project so I just used that, primed, sanded, and gessoed the crap out of it until now you can’t even tell that it was plywood 🤣

The list of shoulder buddies continues to grow! I have to apologize for not opening orders because my household has been dealing with some horrible virus since dec. 3rd and it just won’t leave. So I’m building inventory in the meantime. It will probably be after Christmas though.
