A lot of the scars he has in ffxiv are from ship shrapnel from this encounter. The one on his left side is from a scrap of wood that pierced him when the ship was destroyed

Since Toraki's 28 at the start of ARR, that makes him 17 when he fought against Leviathan alongside the Company of Heroes and the Knights of the Barracuda with his adventuring party. He was just a baby 🥺

He actually starts riding away but he makes it only a few paces before he's like "ugh...maybe I can make this quick" and stealthily helps kill them with his bow before hightailing it out of there on his chocobo towards Gridania. Of course no good deed goes unpunished so they do find him later hahaha

At the start of ARR, Toraki's beginning is a little different than what's in MSQ but he does stumble upon Yda and Papalymo being attacked by treants. He's like, "...this is not my problem, I'm going to be late to my meeting" LMFAOOOO
