Beautiful reflection pic! 🤩 Yes, Devils Postpile is high country. Elevation of the monument is around 7,500 feet. Plus it's a gateway to the High Sierra backcountry, located in the Ansel Adams Wilderness, which is known for its sublime mountain scenery. Devils Postpile, worth the trip! #ParkChat

A8: We've visited several parks after a wildfire. It's hard to see the devastation, but it's part of the cycle of life. After a wildfire, many dormant plants reappear. Also, trees like the giant Sequoia, Lodgepole Pine & Jack Pine need fire to germinate their seeds. #ParkChat
