The Spotted Hyena is one of my top 3 favorite wild animals (the others being bears and orca whales.)

They are also considered a Keystone Species. And deserve so much more love and respect than they often get.

The North American Alligator is one of my favorite animals. Did you know that they create "Gator Holes" that collect water and become effective oasis during the dry season? Between that and being an apex predator, they are considered a Key Stone Species.

Opossums are neat! They are highly resistant to snake venom, and almost entirely immune to rabies! They eat ticks and help clean up our neighborhoods! And they have cute little fingerless gloves!

(Tbf I think all species of bats are cute- but I also know that, in general, a lot of people have irrational fears surrounding these silly little guys.)

It's good that snakes can't drive.
Because there could be a time a snake is driving alone when it sheds and then is tempted to use the second skin to fraudulently use the carpool lane. Quite honestly that would not help the reputation of snakes at all.
