Covid saw an explosion in alcohol advertising and a rise in increasing and higher risk drinking. As well as more deaths and hospital admissions from alcohol, medics also now fear this means more children born with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder

Sheridan from Jarrow, was diagnosed with breast cancer last year.
After surgery and radiotherapy, she cut down on alcohol, improved her diet, and focused on her health to reduce the risk of cancer returning.

1/2 Alcohol causes 7 types of cancer and harms the liver, heart & brain – and yet alcohol labels don’t legally have to show information about health risks. Positive moves by Govt to introduce mandatory health labelling are being taken forward nationally. The public supports this.
