I love a sunny autumn day.

Sounds good to me.

I hereby declare war on premature Christmassing.

Any shop caught doing this before 1st December must be shut down and turned into affordable housing.

Choose sanity. Vote Binface.

Better but four yellows is unacceptable. I thought it might be five when Darcy tackled someone in the air. Richardson looked good. Our attack has two options. One out bashing up or get the ball to Darcy and hope for a miracle play. Admittedly the latter actually worked for the 3rd try.

Ben Shitehouse is an appalling referee.

A friend has access to one of the presales. Tickets were $600 CAD each for seats half way the floor of the arena. 😮

#31DaysOfGraves Day 10: urn

I took this photo one foggy morning in the Calton Hill cemetery, Edinburgh. For those that care, Pentax K-3iii, SMC Pentax-F 50mm f/1.7 lens.

Black and white photograph of a tall burial monument. A tall urn with two handles stands on a tall plinth with a square cross-section. In the background is a leafless winter tree and multiple other monuments including some obelisks. It is a little bit foggy.

Great news. 🎉 Congratulations all round (especially to the mother because let’s face it she did all the hard work).

Autumnal ovals beside the Water of Leith.
A series of concentric ovals in the ground made of grey setts. Autumn leaves are helping to define the oval shapes.

No There used to be a garage and petrol station there and the pavement was wider then. This is street view from 2009.

Don’t forget Bellenden Gardens. 😀

I like the idea of tram-trains but have doubts about the city centre capacity. Currently trams run every seven minutes and they would have to be squeezed into that, along with trams from Granton on the proposed new line.

I’m hoping for a European tour. They’ve already added another two nights at most of the North American dates.

At the shops (Tesco etc) on Queensferry Road before the junction with Parkgrove Avenue.

It wasn’t burnt. It was wrapped in black plastic.

Absolutely agree about S&A. On that tour they played five songs in a row from it at the start of the 2nd set. That was a tough listen.

My final photo of my jaunt to Rothesay. The cinema at the Winter Gardens is showing these very contrasting views of Scotland. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
A display with posters for two films being shown at a cinema. One is Trainspotting, the other is Braveheart.

I’m not all 70s Rush. Permanent Waves and Moving Pictures are both masterpieces and I love Grace Under Pressure (Between The Wheels has one of the great guitar solos) and Power Windows. It’s just that Signals never did it for me.

A controversial opinion among many Rush fans but apart from Analog Kid and Losing It I don’t like Signals. Subdivisions is a great song but all the live versions are better than the original. The cover by Jacob Moon is pretty good.

It’s back. Let’s see how long it lasts this time.

They were built when pubs weren’t allowed to open on Sundays but you could get alcohol on steamer ferries. Presumably only men at that time were indulging in Sunday boozing so only male toilets were built.

A visit to the cathedral that is the Rothesay Victorian Toilets. Luckily I was the only person there so was free to take these pics. The current Mrs Pete reports that the female loos are boringly modern.

Day trip today. Scotrail Club 50 to Wemyss Bay then ferry to Rothesay, mooch about for a while then return. There are games painted on the esplanade there.

ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY!!
A dartboard painted on the ground. In front of it is a yellow line and the words “Throw from here”. There are several small bean bags beside the line. A dartboard painted on the ground. There are three bean bags in the treble twenty.

Can honestly say I've never wished a business more ill will than I have than with a "viral London morning roll pop-up" seeking to introduce morning rolls to Scotland via the medium of Stockbridge.
Fuck off all the way back to Angel and don't stop until you find yourselves in the sea.
