Today I found out that #Firefox has a feature called 'containers' that allow to separate different accounts in single profile. Nice! 😎

And here we are - Tuesday, the last day of jChampions Conf!

Just like the previous days, we've got 7 sessions today and again (coincidence? I think not!) these three look the most interesting to me 👇🧵

Did you know the jChampions Conference ( jchampionsconf.com ) starts today?

Now you do - and the first session begins in under 4 hours! 😄

Today's agenda is packed with great stuff, but these three sessions caught my eye 🧵 👇

A very nice course (and free!) that's happening right now - 3 out of 9 lessons are already available on YouTube. It’s all about "what they didn't teach you during your studies" - Git, terminal basics, debugging, and more.

Worth checking out 😃

D'oh, system update on Pixel devices is one of a kind.

Initially, it displays a message saying "up to date, last checked at 4:06." However, upon pressing "check for update," it suddenly "discovers" a new update and begins downloading it.

Why?! 🙁

toolbx - containertoolbx.org - is quite impressive. 🚀

I just migrated plain npx something into running command from a container - to separate it (a bit... 😉) from my OS.

Guys, we did it. We invented the Commodore 64
Also neat at CES: HP’s battery-powered PC built into a keyboard. Sort of a screenless laptop.

Oh, I just found out that I can replace ngrok with Cloudflare Tunnel 😍

I can use custom domain, with same feature set , or least same for me as I need only plain basic HTTP(S).
Single command to run.

Stay tuned for instruction (as a blogpost!) 😄

When installing the new operating system, I forgot to export my GPG keys. Fortunately, I found a way to read them directly from the backup.

I wrote a post outlining steps (mostly for future me) 👇

I published two posts on my blog this week - it is second and third post this year. This means I've already tripled my output compared to all of 2024! 😂

Did I wrote - more post about Fedora? Here it is!

Not directly about Fedora, but about SSH, Git and Intellij. And mysterious passphrase popup. 👇

Welp, my wifi worked pretty slow (like 3-4 times slower than expected!) and I was not sure why.

Turns out that I installed opensnitch in version 1.6.5 instead of 1.8.0 - how? I do not know - which caused issues. 🤦

After update everything works as expected. 🎉

Well, looks like I migrated from Manjaro to Fedora. And I like it!

Fedora (with KDE) seems like the most polished distro I've ever worked on.

I've just upgraded (on production) PostgreSQL from 12 to 14 - without any issues. Only thing I needed to tweak was ports and pg_hba.conf. 👍

If I may present an alternative opinion on cloud outages:

Occasional short reminders of fragility in centralization and smoke-testing of our societal systems with effectively inconsequential events, is important.

There is going to be day gigaoutage culminates, due to lack of minoroutage warnings.
