I actually like this piecemeal erosion of their lies. I feel like a proper investigation into the “party” would allow them to spin the narrative that the establishment were out to get them for telling it like it is, whereas this way, people are regularly reminded that they are lying scum.

Had a long drive today. Could only pick up BBC radio. Fucking hell their “news” is bad. Some of the most one-sided, pseudo intellectual, propaganda bullshit I’ve heard outside of dystopian movie scripts.

I used to love going for a really heavy surf in freezing conditions and then warming up afterwards in a pub.

Too late to change, too late to be gentle or ask permission for what needs to be done. Just double down and pull up the drawbridges. People are going to suffer and have to do things they don’t want to. Silence dissent. It’s for the best.

I’m not saying this is what’s happened, but if I was an evil fossil fuel lobbyist, I’d tell governments that it was too late to avoid climate collapse. That catastrophic loss of life, human and otherwise, was going to happen any day and that all that was left was how to plan to survive it….

Even just 5 years ago, I’d have thought it a no brainer that the UK would accept refugees from a country that was threatening to label all transgender or anti fascist people as terrorists.
Today, while the person threatening this gorges himself in a literal castle in our country, I’m not so sure.

I’m one of those “Gen X” bods and having grown up in a society that seemed (broadly and imperfectly) to be striving to be kinder, more considerate and equal, I think we all MASSIVELY underestimated quite how hard the selfish and the prejudiced would fight back when cornered.
