Shen Jiu, even smaller now, turns to watch the frame appear even further away. He himself is stuck in a seemingly endless white plane, all alone.

Both he and the frame grow smaller. Shen Jiu is changed now, appearing to just have been promoted to a peak lords status.

A smaller frame, a smaller Shen Jiu - now as a disciple.

No frame is visible now, and Shen Jiu's figure is that of an unkempt child.

I think an important part of Shen Jiu’s character is that he is Miserable. He does horrible things but he doesn’t enjoy them because he doesn’t seem to enjoy much of anything. The closest he gets to happy is when he’s being comforted by women. And is that really happpiness or just need?
