My elation over the results of last Tuesday's elections just went down the crapper with the cave in by the Democratic Senate.

Prediction, for what it is worth... AOC challenges Schumer when he is up for re-election and wins. It is time to retire all of the old guard. They are not up to the task at hand and will not be able to turn the Orange, putrid tide.

The cowardice to not stand up for the people will be the death knell of the Democrats and democracy. It is truly beyond my comprehension.
Trump and MAGA…that’s not what will “kill” us off.

If democracy dies…it will result from our own decision to commit “suicide.”

This is an example of the suicidal attitude I’m talking about.

Resilience is what determines whether democracy survives. Without that nothing else meaningful happens.

Schumer’s done. He’s deceived this again. He doesn’t know how to lead without his religion getting in the way. He needs to be gone from the Senate. Put someone else in charge now.

Attended this morning’s remembrance parade and service in my hometown, Nuneaton. Wonderful to see thousands of people watching the parade and remembering those from the town who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Hitler went after the homeless and "work shy" (often disabled, mentally ill, neurodivergent, elderly, etc) first. Then political opponents, journalists, intellectuals, and clergy who opposed the regime. Dachau, the first concentration camp, opened in 1933 for these people.
