This is why everyone should ignore the stories about Trump's de-escalation. The administration is *not* pivoting. It is pretending to pivot until the heat from the public and Congress dies down. Meanwhile, on the ground, it's more of the same, with slightly conciliatory language before the cameras.

I spent time Sunday studying up on the durability/longevity of history's many Empires and Republics, for no particular reason other than to see if the USA does reach its 250th anniversary in tact this year, where it'll rank.

I hesitated with my greeting on Chanukah due to the horror at Bondi in case the photo (from a FB Group I am in) was insensitive. Given Australia’s response to around our Jewish community, it seems now quite apt. To all who observe, Happy Hanukkah, at a time where hope feels more important than ever!

The International Alliance of ALS/MND Associations meetings in #Toronto) in 4 countries. Our mind set towards our disease hasn't changed in 7 years, nor has her blouse or my shoes!
