Repubs are celebrating the layoffs but, at the end of the day, it will all backfire. People will be impacted by the lack of essential govt services and there's no way they can claim Dems were responsible for the layoffs. Furthermore, this will be stuck in the courts. Lose/lose situation.

Exactly right. Unless they've used surveillance to identify party affiliation, the layoffs will include everyone no matter the political affiliation. This is just the DOGE wrecking ball that took out thousands of Republican govt workers who thought they'd be be safe.

Judge Diane Goodstein crossed the Trump administration last month. Yesterday, her home burned, her husband was injured and it's being investigated for arson.

Keep the faith. As you know, elections are managed at the local and state level. There is simply nothing that can create a federal takeover even if they try emergency decrees, delays, shenanigans etc. That will only push more people to show up at the booth, protests etc.
