Pritzker: "When did we become a country where it's ok for the US president to insist on national television that a state should call him to beg for anything? Especially something we don't want. Have we truly lost all sense of sanity in this nation that we treat this as normal?"

My grandmother, Constance Daniel, a member of Roosevelt’s “Black Cabinet,” was fired from her job at the Dept of Agriculture in 1942 for publicly criticizing the Farm Security Administration for using federal dollars to pay poll taxes for southern White farmers but not for Black farmers.
