Yesterday I had some fun teaching my 5 year old how to do origami! I’m not at all surprised that he chose a cat first. :P He made the cat and blue/green pinwheel with pretty minimal help. I love getting to teach crafts to my kids. ❤️

This weave is called Celtic Wings, and it’s also typically used for bracelets and necklaces, but makes a cute earring in small segments! I also made a couple into pride flags, which is something I’ve mostly only done in the scale earrings before.

Did you know that I make belts? I’ve been focusing a lot more on chainmail than leather lately, but for TBT here’s belts I made for my wife and I back just before the pandemic. They’re pretty simple, but there’s some cute details for both of us. 😊

This is an old picture, taken before I knew what I was doing (not that I do now), so the lighting is terrible. The lighting is once again terrible, due to being an old photo taken before I had any idea what I was doing, but you can just see that the belt with the silver buckle is stamped with a rose at the end, while the belt with the golden buckle is tooled to resemble to Triforce at the end. The end is tapered to a slightly rounded point, tooled with a thin groove following the shape of the belt, and there is a rose blossom stamped into the point. The body of the belt has a thin groove following the edges in until the Triforce, and the holes for the buckle have leaves stamped in between them.
