This is a bombshell. While demanding sensitive data on hundreds of millions of Americans, DOJ admits the feds are putting that data at risk, sharing it with an unnamed "political advocacy group" seeking to "overturn election results in several states."

Some DOGE personnel had more access to data than previously acknowledged, according to a court filing.

And one day later, CA court rules DOJ has failed to present legal justification for seizing voters’ protected data. DOJ continuing its record of defeats, now 0-2, with 22 cases remaining.

One down, 23 to go. DOJ loses in Oregon, failing to justify its demand for protected voter data like SSN and DL#. I’ll be writing more on this once the opinion is published.

Judge rules Oregon won't need to hand over unredacted voter rolls to Trump admin
Oregon is one of over 20 states the Trump administration has sued for voter information, in efforts to curb what it claims is illegal voting.

Last night, the President made a failed attempt at a “pardon by tweet” of convicted Colorado felon and conspiracy theorist Tina Peters. This came after several unsuccessful efforts to use the power of the federal government to pressure state officials to release her, despite her crimes. /1

Tonight in particular it might be important to note some important constitutional limitations on Presidential power:

1. The President has extremely limited power over the states, absent an act of Congress.

2. The President has zero pardon power relating to state prosecutions of state crimes.
