No names, but I had my first 'armpit body odor' infected Marzen. First, I thought I was imagining things, so I let it warm up. Nope, isovaleric acid. Thankfully, we didn't pay for this one. But, it gives us pause when something so blatant is still shipped over. Clean your lines, use unexpired hops.
This feels like another Rorschach question.
If you find yourself co-existing in chaos, then a pumpkin beer (with its baking spices and flavor) is a comforting beverage.
If you find yourself contented, then you probably don't find comfort in "yet another" pumpkin-spiced beverage.

Remember when the sun was out?🌞🌧️
That’s why Bale Breaker’s Fresh Hop Top Cutter needs to be in your hand now. Fresh hop beers lose their punch quickly—so enjoy this fh beauty before the rain dulls it. 🍺🍃

The hop harvest is over, but fresh hop beers are still drinking great right now, with many still available both on tap and in retail. I've enjoyed the latest Farm to Market series from Portland’s Zupan’s Markets and Hetty Alice Beers—Flash Frozen Fresh Hop IPA.

Endless rain, fresh hops, and fall in a can. 🍂 Hetty Alice’s Flash Frozen IPA is hitting just right. 🌧️🍺
More on that.

American Light Lager, American-style IPA (leaning more towards West Coast IPA), and Pilsner.
Under a moody Seattle sky, we visited #WestlandWhiskey to celebrate the 10-year Garryana release. Sips, food trucks, live coopering, and a warm welcome from the distillery crew made it unforgettable. Cheers to a decade! 🥃

Gray skies, leaf-clogged drains, and puddles the size of your car—must be fall in the PNW.
🌿 Alpha Factor: dank, bright, freshly picked fuel.
🍺 Prostdoc: smooth, malty, and built for weathering the drizzle.

Also: don’t sleep on their Cross Sound Kölsch collab with #SilverCityBrewing. Clean, crisp, and built for breezy ferry rides or dodging puddles. ⚓🍻

Rain’s back. The vibe’s gray. Fall kinda sucks—but Scuttlebrau doesn’t. 🍺 This malt-forward amber lager is smooth, cozy, and basically a space heater in a pint glass. Embrace the drizzle. ️🍂

The rain is back—but so are the beers worth getting wet for. 🌧️🍻
Kulshan Brewing’s Fresh Hop IPA, Strata Fresh, Oktoberfest, and their golden Hefeweizen are still tasting great! Bright, bold, and brewed for the season. Fall in the PNW? We’re here for it.

Oktoberfest in Germany might be over, but who says the party has to stop? 🍺
Deluxe Brewing’s Oktoberfest is still flowing—malty, smooth, and made for fall.

PS. my statement before was about the NYTimes Opinion and not anyone's post here.
LOL! Ah, yes. From the makers of "Craft Beer is Dying" and "Can't find Pliny the Younger this year? We know where to find it!" comes this asinine post.
Nah. More about shelf-stability. India Pale Ales are the most susceptible. Usually, the 7% and below stuff is good for around 2-3 months. Meanwhile, the higher ABV can last a bit longer.
Just a good rule to have, that if it's around 4 months or more, you're not getting optimal freshness.
