I’m a huge fan of finding new music especially when it’s a newer artist I’ve never heard of or has very few listens.

But I keep worrying if I’m listening to something that’s AI created.

Spotify needs to have a label for AI created stuff. I don’t want to support that shit.

I’ve had a bit of a theory about the vf2. Basically ran every workout/lr in it for 4 yrs.

Did my use of this shoe style for this long have an effect to my foot strike/stride pattern/muscle use.

Or

Could I have been a super responder to the geometry of this particular shoe?

I got a little silly this weekend ahead of D3 Cross Country Conference Championship weekend. The kids are racing but which logo reigns supreme? I’m here to answer that.

77 miles on 5.

Time for some Blind Pig at the source.

I feel like most new runner focus way too much on optimizing the little things.

Dawg, just put one foot in front of the other consistently and be patient. Not everyone is gonna be okay at it within a year.

It took me damn near almost 20 years to get somewhat competitive.

A general rule of thumb on the other app has been

If their profile says “bowtied”, move along.

With the new updates coming on the bird app it looks like I need to take my talents here.

And by talents I mean shitposting.

Michael Granville’s 1:46.45 stood as the high school record since 1998.

An event widely contested with many attacks on it over the years.

Lutkenhaus broke that. Then he ran over 3 seconds faster than his own record.

That’s the greatest high school performance I’ve ever seen.

The letsrun article is unfortunate for the image of the USATF. There’s a lot of people in the organization that are working hard with a very limited budget and having the head of it be consistently dismissive isn’t helping.

I saw a popular influencer imply that there is racism when dudes complain about influencers.

As a minority who’s spent most of his life in this sport (majority of it when it wasn’t popular) I have to say

I have no issues with people who are adding to the community.

I have an issue with grifters.

Say what you will about this being a Nike marketing stunt.

When’s the last time we had so many eyes on a woman in track and field like this outside of the Olympics? Particularly in the distances.

That’s pretty cool, man.

I didn’t expect this much track news on the first day I decided to bust out my throws crewneck at work.

I’d argue that the GST news leak may be more harmful to the brand than the inevitable cancellation.

You now have 12 hours of speculation from the fans and the media, an angry fan base that has to change their plans, and athletes in the dark.

As a So Cal native I don’t know how you come back to LA next year after such an abrupt cancellation.

The city ain’t gonna be about it. Especially when you got things like this being leaked as excuses.

One of the oldest boys HS records goes down as Cooper Lutkenhaus breaks Michael Granville’s 1:46.45 800 record from 1996.

Lutkenhaus runs 1:46.26 to win the Brooks PR invitational over Owen Powell in 1:46.63.

He’s only a sophomore…

At this point I’ve heard multiple rumors regarding the new Olympic trials standard from various people across the country.

I’ve seen the men’s standard at 2:16 or 2:17
Women’s at 2:37
Sept 1 window opening.

Talk of a A and B standard.

If only we had a governing body to set the record straight!

Abbabiya Simbassa breaks the US Road 10k record at the Tokyo Speed Race tonight out in Japan.

Breaks the previous mark of 27:48 held by Mark Nerow (1985) and Bernard Legat (2015).

Something not lost on me was the cheers/celebratory messages throughout yesterday from friends I’ve met through brand experiences over the last 2yrs.

Despite rocking Puma for race day I had people from my On OTQ program in 2023 and New Balance experience this winter going nuts.

I’ve been fortunate enough to have been using the Fast R-3 for the last couple months for the majority of my workouts.

I’ve worn my fair share of super shoes over the last 6 years but this felt like I was putting on supershoes for the first time.

Will be my race shoe for Boston and CIM.
