I was asked about using crc32 to identify files corrupted with initial zero bytes, since I'd written crctrunc back in 2019 to (slowly) match zeroes at the end. I finally got around to it, here's crc-init-trunc. As a bonus it's also vastly faster at crctrunc's job.

I've previously shown this cube2 → quake map converter but the same code-base also had readers/writers for Source engine map files and Neon Struct levels, as well as associated material formats.
