Same sign in Steam version, so as K1 predates both 6 and 345R it's safe to assume that it's the original that got improved in DE migration

I probably would've used ParTool to extract the texture from the game files, run recursively on all .par's in subfolders inside media/data/stage/w64/st_kamuro/
Sozaijiten Vol. 30 - People / Male Edition
Can't remember how that one looks off the top of my head and only have 6 currently downloaded, but it is most likely either Sozaijiten stock photo like this one or 3d.sk like some of the movie posters I identified before

I was looking at fake movie posters from the Yakuza series, and something clicked and I realized that I know exact photos they used for these, and sure enough, those were street photos of head references from www.3d.sk (links to specific photos in the alt text)
brother the high res link is right there in the beet, just print it yourself at a local printing shop
Fun fact: in at least Remastered versions of Yakuza 3, 4 and 5 the same sign reads properly "New York Style Hamburger"! So either New York Style Hot Dog Hamburger was a brand consistency fix from Yakuza 6, or they went back and "fixed" it in Remasters specifically and both options are amusing to me
As a huge New York Style Hot Dog fan for years, felt compelled to recreate the poster in a high resolution and managed to find the original photo used in the texture

Many thanks to folks from VGPC for help with identifying blobs, especially Prominos and TBemme

After a group discussion and consulting with a native speaker settled on the following:
"契約農家の新鮮レタスとトマトを入れ
粗挽きで食べ応え満点のオリジナルパテを
ジューシーに焼き上げました"
Not a perfect font match, but overall shapes match pretty well
With a lot of help, deciphering progress so far, almost there but still a couple left
Tracked down the original burger image and recreated the poster in print size as as the original texture is too blurry and DXT-compressed, the only thing left is the middle section as it's too blurry for Google Lens to recognize, will upload high res if anyone manages to decipher original text

the only time in recent memory I've seen anyone use these was that one dungeon in ffxiv which was really amusing as it was in a snowy location specifically
sci-fi or a spy game but instead of the usual greek or egyptian gods they use slavic folklore for names. ai named koschei. satellite named gorynich. subsystems leshy and vodyanoy.
this 3d modelling shit is easy af
thank you incredible platform bluesky for randomly killing the preview image in this post several months after it was posted, love it here
beat Marathon 1 and played an hour of Marathon 2 so here's my review (in 2025):
M1: very good weapon designs, esp. that goofy pistol that has a revolver cylinder and an in-grip magazine
M2: great geo textures and skyboxes but now absolute dogshit weapon and some enemy designs and plastic cg sprites

i love to use "bluesky": the discover feed is a prank by satan, the community made "onlyposts" feed displays only ~half of the posts from ~half of the users that i follow, and the chronological feed becomes unusable if youre subscribed to anyone who likes to retweet "news" from the so-called "usa"
Not just "fans" but a Nightdive employee who worked on the remaster as well FWIW
And that main theme too
