I understand that 2 factor authorization using a mobile device helps companies track user IDs, but it also discriminates against the poor who might be using wifi only on a public service. There should always be a non-SMS option. SMS messages are not available to 100% of the people 100% of the time.

I just discovered this, so I thought I would spread it around. (Maybe everyone but me knows this?) When you are checking data usage on your iPhone in the System Settings (see Current Period below) that number does not automatically reset monthly.

It's hard to argue that the YouTube algorithm doesn't have a sense of humor when it brings these two shorts up side by side.

I love finding products that have novel hardware features that maybe could be replicated on the smartphone platform, but don't. Totem Labs (www.totemlabs.com) has accomplished just that. I wrote more about it over on my Substack...

HA! I'm looking at benefits of coding with more #syntacticsugar when #pairedprogramming with #AI, and ChatGPT said: "If an AI is advanced enough, it may prefer more sugar: it can compress code more elegantly and make transformations more fluidly, just like how humans prefer speaking in idioms."
