It was wonderful to help cut the ribbon on the new Curley School playground dedicated to the beloved former principal Katie Grassa. It was great to join the Superintendent of Schools Mary Skipper and the many community and schools leaders who all worked so hard to make the new playground a reality.

The stretch of road in front of the Forest Hill T stop has long been too congested for cars and buses and too dangerous for cyclists and pedestrians. As my colleagues and the administration heard from 40 residents, we need change now.

Ben helped welcome students to the 1st day of school at the Curley and the Lyndon. He handed out pencils, cracked Dad jokes, met the new Curley Principal, chatted with parents, and helped translate Spanish for a family needing help. Ben Weber, man of many skills. Happy first day of school, Boston!
