Being true and seeming true are two different things.

Being true and sounding true are two different things.

Being true and feeling true are two different things.

Truth and "the unmistakable ring of truth" are two different things.

I don't like it but I also don't like work and my theory is that I might as well put the work in the time of day I don't like and keep the good bits of the day for other things
Lesson from social media: the best way to be heard over the noise is to add to the noise that other people are making noise in order to be heard over.

Was feeling regret at not buying the big stack of drums that the local charity shop was selling for £50.

Went back to the same shop, and found this bass drum for less than a tenner, and I've not had to find homes for all the other drums!
In all honesty, I thought Damo Suzuki was already dead. I'm not sure why.

I did get to see Damo performing once - at Jacob's Well in Leeds. I don't remember why, but the promoter cancelled the gig. Luckily, I didn't get that message, because Damo and the band showed up and played anyway.
February breathes
Expanding and contracting.
Very slightly and
Very slowly,
But unlike every other month,
February breathes,
Keeping the year alive
When people needed a word to describe something that can be lengthened or shortened by a sliding mechanism, I wonder why they settled on "telescopic", rather than "trombonic".
Did anyone else have a book called "Cooking Is A Game You Can Eat" in their house, when they were growing up? I don't remember ever reading the book or trying any of the recipes, but the title has really stuck with me.
