Literally nothing is more Warhammer than wearing bright red in battle to convey your contempt of the enemy.
The red works really well for a ‘Chunter.
Very kind words and a fun reminder of when I got to give Lysander a really miserable time.
worldbuilder extraordinaire @bencounter.bsky.social takes us on a neatly symmetrical tour of another of his signature mind-bending daemon-infested hellscapes. Counter has a very inviting and fantasy-tinged take on Chaos that i really dig, and the easy camaraderie of his space marines is infectious
Looking for recommendations on co-op miniatures games. Does Five Parsecs From Home work with multiple players, for instance? Especially games with lots of story content or potential.
It’s been down for a while, I wasn’t able to get the domain renewal to work. I’m focusing on getting mini pics up regularly before I think about maintaining a blog again.
I like the first one. A neglected building big enough to have an elevator, but that still has people in it, is a very cool setting which definitely has a hidden floor that can only be identified from counting the windows outside vs the number of stops the elevator makes.
A Chaos Dwarf as a treat. Helsmiths of Hashut War Despot.
They hosted the only baseball game I’ve watched live and their stadium was awesome so yeah go you beautiful blue birdies.
We are more alike than we are different, for all our differences. And we’re all just trying to make it through the night.
Wisdom, moral imagination, an enlarged sympathy for those who live or have lived differently from yourself. This is what you get from studying the Humanities. So quite important, actually.
That’s such a cool idea! Then imagine a novel written as if by someone in the 2120s, set in the 2010s, reflecting what they think life now would have been like.
Trust me, after reading this you WILL want a ruggedised laptop

Combat is for nerds who can count.
Fellow scribe Ms Cawkwell with a new space operatic adventure set in the universe of the iconically gargantuan board game. (Which I played once and though I didn’t win, I did take over Mecatol Rex which counts as an achievement unlocked)
Lots of ingredients.

This is what started life as Project: Magnificent Seven.

A play I’m in! For those of you in the Havant/Portsmouth/Fareham sort of area who fancy some pitch black comedy, HumDrum’s version of Hangmen features me hanging at least one person.
Inquisitor’s Nuncio-Servitor: Recites the ancient Imperial law prohibiting any door from being locked within 500 metres of an Inquisitor.
Inquisitor: Stares at door. Door opens.
Police Zaku is here to take down your particulars.
Hat = Authority. As true in Warhammer as in real life.
If the socials made it easy to decide what we see, they wouldn’t be able to control it. While I appreciate having somewhere to post weird model pictures, there’s an insidiousness to the way social media works.
This one's very difficult to take photos of, but here she is: A #warhammer40000 diorama with a wrecked Rogal Dorn being used as a trading post (and washing line) by a band of Ratling spivs.
Spider Tank! Another scale modern conversion, this time with a Gigeresque flair.
Yep, one of the entries I made for a couple of contests earlier this year.
Boxed diorama, the idea being it’s a medal case with the medals displayed one one side and a representation of what the bearer did to win them on the other. #warhammer #miniaturepainting
