From Wymondham to Hethersett next, handing Church Farm Shop a Highly Commended in my South Norfolk Small Business Awards.

A real family gem: local produce, homemade cakes and yes, I did grab a cinnamon roll. Nominated and voted for by you, and rightly so.

From carol singers to community spirit 🎄 Walking back to Wymondham Market Cross I stumbled on the brilliant South Norfolk Community Choir raising funds for Norwich Food Bank. I got roped into a carol or two – all the right notes, wrong order. #NormalForNorfolk

Celebrating all that’s good about South Norfolk today.

Started in Wymondham at C.C. Clements & Sons, awarding George Squires and the team a Highly Commended in my first South Norfolk Small Business Award. Public voted, praise sky-high. 150 years strong.

Today I visited John Farley of iBoxiT at the Norwich Research Park: blown away by their carbon-negative, compostable packaging solutions that out-perform EPS!

This innovation will revolutionise haulage & UK food logistics, reduce waste, boost shelf life & add huge value across our food system. 💡🌱

A lovely write up of all the fab work The Quadram Institute has been up to over 2025.

I’m so proud to represent the Institute in Parliament! Here’s to a bigger and better 2026! ⭐

Cemetery Lane is pitch black and it’s not safe.

Filmed last night at Wymondham Station to show exactly what constituents have been telling me.

Norfolk County Council say there’s “not enough collisions” to act. I don’t think that’s good enough. We can fix this.

Healthcare matters: I visited Chet Valley Medical Practice today to speak with Dr Catherine Ashdown–Nicol and Claire Warman about the real pressures on General Practice. Their insight is vital as I raise constituents’ concerns and push ministers for the improvements patients need.

185 years is long enough. Wymondham Station must get step-free access to Plat 2.

In the Railways Bill debate I pushed again for action, plus progress on Ely & Haughley upgrades & protecting our Mid-Norfolk Heritage Railway. A modern rail system must not leave passengers behind.

Zarah Sultana voted with the Tories in every vote on the Employment Rights Bill last night.

That includes voting to keep the Lords' wrecking amendments on strike ballot thresholds and to keep the 2016 Trade Union Act's restrictions on unions' political funds.

Hats off to Wymondham High School, and to Framingham Earl High, for banning mobiles in the school day. This bold move will help young people focus, cut distractions and protect from online harms. 👏

Our growers need certainty now.

Last week I met the U.K. Fruit & Vegetable Association to show my support for producers in South Norfolk, including mushroom growers in Flordon. This follows my joint letter with Terry Jermy MP urging action to protect Britain’s food security.

Very good interview with @joanireid.com. Making many sensible points about how we must have a serious conversation about social media’s impact on young people.

I’d also add that I know of a few born in the 1950s & 60s who could spend less time on X and Facebook!

🎄 Feeling festive! 🎄

After a week of Christmas events across South Norfolk, I popped to Norfolk Christmas Trees in Great Melton and picked up this beauty.

And if Timo the Keeshond claims he “helped” decorate it… he’s telling tales.

Huge thanks to Toft Monks Community Group, Clinks Care Farm and Loddon Brass Band for a brilliant Carols in the Cow Shed. We belted out Jingle Bells, Hark! The Herald Angels Sing and O Come All Ye Faithful with mulled wine, apple juice for me, and top-notch mince pies!
