Can I ask, what did the No Kings protest actually accomplish? I mean, in real terms, what have these protests materially changed? I can't help but feel these one off protests are merely a heatsink for energy and anger rather than a path for meaningful change and disruption of the system.

We need a law that gives people the right to distribute media that was once offered by its owners but was subsequently discontinued (i.e. games removed from storefronts, shows/movies removed from streaming, and live service games with their servers shut down).

Mamdani is the one upholding the law in this situation. Even if an immigrant is here illegally, they're supposed to be guaranteed a day in court like anyone else. It's Trump who is violating the law by ordering these mass deportations.

In short, if I had it my way, the government would be a direct extension of the people's will, and as such if they fuck up they would be ousted without hesitation.

Of course, that's going into more abstract ideas of government that currently only exist in thought experiments.

I think you misunderstand. I want government that has power over corporate entities, not individuals. What I want is government leaders that have the power to crack down on corporate entities when they cause harm, but can be replaced at a moment's notice by a vote of the people they represent.

To my knowledge, that's because the Labor party is socialist in name only. I can't say much because I'm not very familiar with UK politics, but I'm pretty sure they're known to favor the elite with their policies, not the working class.

If you have a city that's affordable to the common people, safe for its residents, and accessible to those less fortunate, you solve the core issues that led people to homelessness in the first place. People like you or me are one bad day away from becoming homeless as we speak.

Capitalism with little to no oversight is what got us here in the first place. Monopolistic mega corporations are the entities currently pricing us all out of our necessities literally as we speak. They will not save us.
