I got really deep into D’Angelo while in college about 14 years ago or so and I remember ordering a CD copy of Voodoo online and having it arrive in the mail while at school. One of the most important purchases I ever made. Perfect album. Still incredible after all these years.

When I heard D’Angelo on the Red Dead Redemption 2 soundtrack, it blew my mind. This was 2018, and “Unshaken” sounds even more haunting now than it did then.

(And it sounds awesome within the context of the game, I’m due for a replay soon)
