Trump:

"NATO has treated the United States very badly. We've never asked for anything. We've never got anything."

Tell that to the families of 850 soldiers from 19 non-US NATO countries who died fighting to defend the United States in Afghanistan - the only occasion Article 5 was ever triggered.

If you book a hotel for $200, you should pay $200.

Today, we shut down hotel junk fees and surprise credit card holds. The price you see is the price you pay.

Carney was only the third person to get a standing ovation at Davos. The first was Mandela and the second Zelenskyy. To say we are proud Canadians is an understatment. 🇨🇦😊

What a contrast.
Trump looks like he just wandered in from the cafeteria at the dementia ward
Yeah, Biden was old & Kamala Harris was a black woman.
You racists happy with what you voted in? You’re idiots, the world will never forgive this chaos & abuse you’ve inflicted upon us

In Trump's telling, the US are the equivalent of the Nazis
Trump: "No nation is in any position to be able to secure Greenland other than the US. We're a great power. Much greater than people even understand. I think they found that out 2 weeks ago in Venezuela. We saw this in World War 2 when Denmark fell to Germany after just 6 hours of fighting."

The contrast between this and Carney’s speech could not be more alarming or shocking.
Trump on NATO: "Until the last few days when I told them about Iceland, they loved me. They called me daddy."

(He means Greenland.)

it's bizarre to see both CNN and CNBC run with chyrons reporting that Trump said he won't "use force" to take Greenland, when the comments in question were clearly a threat to take Greenland by force. How naive are we at this point?

Trump always says he is not considering using military power before he uses it.
how are journalists still this naive about Trump? His comments today about Greenland were clearly a threat

Tell me again how many civilians in boats Trump’s blown up.
And how about the war he started in Minneapolis?
I bet Renee Good’s children don’t believe he deserves a peace prize.

This solution, if consummated, will be a great one... Based upon this understanding, I will not be imposing the Tariffs"
