Wow... that's interesting. That was fine from asking AI?
betatalk.bsky.social
Yes, very complimentary...Many of the Guild engineers will be HG's

Really enjoyed this. We should do another

Nice chap. He was recently on my podcast

You can find details of systems here. This particular case study is in an old building. I interviewed the property owner last night for an upcoming podcast

Launching tomorrow: the BetaTeach newsletter which will be creating the Guild of Master Heat Engineers directory to help you find heat pump engineers in your area

Hi Paul, I'm not quite sure what you mean by "taking them through the complaint process"
betatalk.bsky.social
Yes. They are everywhere. When people look up and think "oh, that's air conditioning" they perhaps don't appreciate it's heating them also in winter. Millions of UK commercial buildings are heated with vapour compression technology (heat pumps)
betatalk.bsky.social
Hi Stuart, you are correct. Although you can get a unit which decides to be a bit noisy. Regarding Daikin, fun fact: Classic FM was the first studio to use their VRV system which we installed. Most of my families work has been acoustic sensative heat pump installations...
betatalk.bsky.social
Hi Derloos, commercially this is very common. Millions of buildings in the UK are heated with A2A heat pumps which also remove heat (cooling)
betatalk.bsky.social
Thanks for the support of the podcast. I appreciate that. Yes it's a good scheme
betatalk.bsky.social
Hi Stuart, yes domestically we do like hydronic systems. Worth remembering we are the largest commercial air to air heat pump market in Europe. The UK was installing vapour compression systems before other countries 😉

Hi buddy, I'd need to know a bit more about the particular case.

I've a webinar coming soon on how
Retrieval Augmented Generation can help the heating (heat pump) sector and combat AI hallucinations.

Hi Norzola, yes they work well out there. The UK was actually one of the first countries to start installing them...back in the 20s.
betatalk.bsky.social
Hi Ian, they work ok here. The UK has the largest commercial Air to Air heat pump market in Europe. They've been heating buildings before that first Methane ship docked at Canvey Island in 1959 and we started to use natural gas boilers for the first time
betatalk.bsky.social
Hi Ant, Millions of heat pumps exist which remove heat (cooling) from UK buildings and also input heat. The UK has the largest commercial heat pump market in Europe. People have them in homes for cooling not realising they have a heating mode...
betatalk.bsky.social
Hi Mark... very expensive to run. Air to air is very cheap to buy for a flat...but may not be suitable. There are also solid state heat pumps which look like storage heaters
betatalk.bsky.social
Hi Michael, regarding "new technology" heat pumps have been heating UK buildings before that first Methane ship arrived to our shores in 1959 from you guys and we had natural gas boilers... 😉
betatalk.bsky.social
He has one heating his home😉

Hi John, ordinarily a double check valve would be installed (cat 3 protection)... A single can be installed if the hose is correct type. Appliances have their own protection internally but it's the hose which has to be considered
