I wouldn’t reach out if I had any other option. Watching your mom fight cancer is something that changes you. You feel helpless, and you just want to do something — anything — to help ease the weight she’s carrying
Watching my only parent fight cancer is already unbearable… but watching her suffer because a broken, greedy system makes survival feel like a privilege instead of a right — that’s a different kind of heartbreak.

I remember several years ago when I was a little girl my dad being picked up by immigration and deported.
They beat him badly.
Took him half my life too get his residency then he ended up dying from covid.
