That feeling as a coach, when you share a strategy that really sparks your coachee. You see them get excited. You see the wheels turning. You see them immediately start building/planning.

It's the small wins, am I right?

September Newsletter is out this week. I'm exploring alignment to core values and being real with who we are as educators, especially in times when so many of our students are under attack.

Sustained partnerships are the best partnerships. Joined Seisen International School. This year we dove into the #coteachingadventure.

So grateful to see how the teachers meaningfully engaged as they rumbled with new ideas and worked to be flexible in their #instructionaldesign.

I'm delighted to be partnering with Tucson Regional Educator Collaborative to bring this workshop to early years educators in September.

How can we honor the joyful, play-based spirit of early childhood while supporting language development for all learners—especially our multilinguals?

Practice being honest with your kids now, because when they ask you what this time in America was like, you will want to be able to tell them the truth, and you will want them to believe you.

How we talk about our #multilinguallearners matters.

They do not have "zero English" or are "behind grade level" or "that teacher's kids."

They are "emergent bilinguals", "on their language journey", and "our students".

Shift your perspective. Shift your practice. #mll #eal

Happy Birthday to Beth Puma Consulting! 8 years old!

I think over the years I've found the nuance of my voice. I've met some incredible educators and students along the way. And I'd like to think we've had some fun too.

Some fear that giving students choice will reduce academic rigor.

However, when grounded in clear outcomes, choice increases ownership, meaning, and motivation.

So, let's make student choice the default by allowing personalization in product, process, or topic.
