My thoughts (and hopes) for 8.0 revolve around us perhaps finally going to Meracydia, since that will also tie back into the void and link to the seeds planted in post-EW - which follows the pattern of the Warriors of Darkness being dropped in HW and then followed up in ShB two expacs later

Got 'Tank You, Gunbreaker II' and the war tiger mount! I wanted this one the most after finding out tanks get exclusive mounts, but never thought I'd get into playing GNB. Further proving all my early expectations of myself getting into this game were wrong 😆

Last night I had my best run of Mistwake yet without getting hit by a single mechanic, and it was when I was half-concentrating because I was watching my friend play Shadowbringers MSQ on my other screen

DRK - Roscoe was deeply mentally unwell in HW :) He had already summoned Esteem in the past so the foundations were there, but encountering Fray in the Brume sealed it and DRK became his combat job and catharsis until the end of 6.5
MCH/GNB - He can no longer wield aether, and his mum makes guns

It was my first MMO and I presumed people would yell at me for being new/bad, so I refused to do any dungeons without friends until the Trust system came in. I was so afraid of doing Prae that I asked my friends to run it with me unsynced so we could do it in a smaller group and take it super slow

It was my first MMO and I presumed people would yell at me for being new/bad, so I refused to do any dungeons without friends until the Trust system came in. I was so afraid of doing Prae that I asked my friends to run it with me unsynced so we could do it in a smaller group and take it super slow

LRT it's true, our sub doesn't get sent out any more because the only person who sent it out had to quit because their 15-year-old mac could no longer run the game and I sure as hell don't know what to do with it

Mine are... a situation
I have a 30GB folder of gposes dating back 5 years with no sub-folders, now on two backup drives since I had to clear my main drive for repair early 2025. I made a new folder when I reinstalled the game which also has no form of organisation whatsoever

I completely misunderstood this line in our SB replay and read 'the other you' as another Roscoe. Now we've decided Hien and Gosestu saw Esteem running wild at the Nadaam and were like "yeah sure, bring him along again, he seemed cool"

Hmmm tempted to do the official art contest... I always missed all the previous ones. I also wanted to join in the FFIX art event, which I technically could've had some art for, but I had to keep it under wraps for a zine (it's still under wraps now)

You know I'm going to be predictable and say Papalymo. There are so many scenes I'd have loved to see his opinion on
#wolqotd but I guess more for the players, if you could bring back one character to feature majorly in the msq who would it be. Could be someone dead, someone who's been sidelined, someone from a side quest, literally anyone but our current mainstays

I've been fortunate that all of Roscoe's canon jobs have been jobs I really enjoy playing. DRK still remains my comfiest tank which I often use for non-MSQ content, but I persisted with GNB for thematic reasons once Roscoe canonically dropped DRK and I really enjoy it now. MCH is also my fave DPS
#wolqotd Is your WOL's job the same one you like to play, or do you separate what you play from your character's canon?

I've been fortunate that all of Roscoe's canon jobs have been jobs I really enjoy playing. DRK still remains my comfiest tank which I often use for non-MSQ content, but I persisted with GNB for thematic reasons once Roscoe canonically dropped DRK and I really enjoy it now. MCH is also my fave DPS
