I am still skeptical that the Trump FBI would release this stuff involving Trump, even if ordered by Congress. Responses like "they have to" are meaningless with this lawless administration. I am sure they are busy scrubbing every redundant server and hard copy in existence.

Many of them talk about a "big tent", but what they really mean is an "Overton tent". They want the party to pick up the stakes and move the whole thing right, believing they can scold those left behind to vote Dem as the lesser of two evils.

Democrats HAVE to come up with a response to these attacks, to bury it in the ground. Tell voters "every time you hear these tired old attacks, it means the candidate has nothing to offer you, nothing to improve your life, no plan to govern." Be contemptible and assertive, not defensive. Bury it!
I am taking particular pleasure in the complete collapse of trans-as-unbeatable-wedge-issue narrative this morning. It might be an 80-20 issue in voters minds, but it has to be on voters minds to matter. The results in VA demonstrate that it is very much not on voters minds.
