Pssst: This new podcast launches a week from Thursday.

Might as well start following it here: podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/f...
This looks great! Dare we say it's for fans of "Welcome to Wrexham"?
Sorta just told everyone on our newsletter list to step up their games. We'll see what happens.
This does kind of seem my speed: "And The Melancholy of Resistance, which is one sentence that runs over 300 pages, is about a strange, ghostly circus appearing in a small town with a giant, dead stuffed whale."
"Hench" is excellent. Can't wait for this.
Getting to show you all this cover and announce that VILLAIN is officially coming out in May of next year is such a joy and a relief i don't even know how to express it.

Oh, are you a #1 bestseller on Amazon? That's great for you. Don't see why you'd need your book our shelves then. Cheers!
Finished "Katabasis." It's great. Much more self-contained and concise than "Babel," and less didactic.

Ultimately, it's a similar story about the power of human connection and "what matters" but in a way that's a bit more accessible.

Also, it's quite gross at times. Very bloody.
Are we dunking on Stephen King today?
Stay tuned for the new pod in ... early November? We'll see what happens.
Congrats to @jessicaanthony.bsky.social and the other three amazing authors here (Jessica just happens to have come and spoken to our Shop, so gets bigger congrats). We love all these books. Read them!

Am now reading the new RF Kuang and I'm not sure how you're supposed to put this thing down. It's like a drug.

It sounds dumb, I know, but I genuinely think decades of CSI:Wherever and countless shoot-the-bad-guys shows have trained Americans to believe there are just disposable people you can just shoot and never think about again.
I've been trying to understand why this isn't generating as much fury as it should, and i think it's because there is a fundamental belief among many americans that the military can pretty much do whatever (which isn't entirely inaccurate.) that said, what the actual fuck.
A fourth boat bombed in international waters. Total death toll now 19

What I dont get is, if these boats are "carrying fentanyl" as Trump says (they absolutely arent. Even the DEA says VZ doesnt produce fentanyl), then why not seize one and show us?

But if we just throw more NVIDIA chips at the problem I'm sure all of our 401ks will like the AI answers more.
